Standard Less with Ikaika on 1/13/2010

Today we worked on wing in Waltz.

1. "Sway in, not sway out." -- Bill Irvine. Sharron's analogy: think of a pole going down into the floor.
2. Prominent position, fold the crease between left leg and hip. This helps to keep the upper body stacked up on the left foot.
3. Wing: on step 2, need to remember to go around the leader, not just shoot straight into the far away distance. This is wing. Also need to hand over the weight, or bounce back the weight, but not throw the weight then catch. Turn the head here when when the hip turns.
