Last Sunday (12/12/2009), I competed in Pro/Am International Standard with Ikaika at Holiday Dance Classic in Las Vegas. We competed in Bronze A scholarship (age 16-35). This is a three dance event, with Waltz, Foxtrot and Quick Step. We got marked first place for all three dances from all judges, expect for one second from one judge. So needless to say, I was (still am) very very happy. It started with a semi final or 10+ couples.
We also competed in the single dances in A1 Bronze, waltz, tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and quick step, and got first place in those too, although the judges scores are not as overwhelming.
This is the first time, I've competed in a scholarship. Winning surely feels good :D
The next goal in Pro/Am comp is San Francisco Open at the end of March. I hope I will be good enough to do silver by then.
