Attendee: Sharron
We have mostly worked on Waltz this week.
1. use standing leg more: this is emphasized a lot. When on the inside of the turn (natural turn, second part of the spin turn, etc), use the standing leg while monitoring the turning rate of the partner.
2. move in the direction of the standing foot. This is particularly important in the turning figures, such as running spin turn, weave, do not worry about turning too much, just move in the direction of where the standing foot is pointing to, while keep the weight toward the partner at the same time.
3. Keep both side of the hip toward the partner, along with the correct positioning of the right elbow, directed from the tilt of the leader's left hand, should feel like coming from under to fit in with the partner.
4. Swing: In watlz, during the step open natural followed by outside spin turn. He explained that 1 is the at split weigh position, then after that, the heel of the left foot (the back foot) lift up to start the rise, and pushing forward.
