Last week we worked on Waltz swing a lot. So continued a little with a review on waltz:
1. Swing: 1 is split weight, start rising on the & after the 1, i.e. rise as shifting weight from the split weight position.
2. Regarding a question yesterday about the 3 from open natural to the outside spin: from the open natural to the outside spin, split weight on 3 , on & lower onto the heel of the left foot, then drive forward from the back of the foot. It is not receiving the weight to the ball of the foot directly, then move it back to the heel.
Tango: A lot of emphasize on using the foot/leg to move, not the upper body. This indeed made me feel more stable, instead of sliding around on the floor.
