Today we worked on foxtrot.
1. On natural turn, at the end of the heel turn, need to turn the upper body as well, toward the partner, to prepare for the outside partner step next. This is similar to the end of the waltz running spin turn step, where it goes to outside partner in the next step as well. He definitely has told me about this many many times. But finally today I feel that I really get it and was able to produce it.
2. Swing in feather step. This one is a little frustrating. It is a subject that we have definitely spent many lessons on before, but I still don’t think I’m really getting it. Words that were said, include the following: I need to consciously let the partner pass, I need to swing my right hip, which should lead to the swing of the upper body into the left space (my space),
